Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use and handle your data when you use our software and documentation.

1. Who We Are

Dreame Vacuum Card is developed and operated by Tasshack, an independent developer. For any privacy-related question or request, contact support@tasshack.com.

2. Data We Collect

We only collect the minimal technical data required to make our software work, specifically your Unique User/License ID. We do not collect your name, physical address, or browsing history.

3. Legal Basis for Processing

• Unique ID: processed because it is necessary to perform the contract with you — without it, the license key cannot be validated or activated.
• Analytics cookies (Google Analytics): processed only based on your consent, given via the cookie notice. You can withdraw this consent at any time by clicking the Cookie Preferences button in the bottom right corner of the screen. (Your consent choice is saved on .tasshack.com and applies across all our related subdomains).
• Marketing cookies (Polar Checkout): processed based on your consent. Our checkout flow embed requires these cookies to function.
• Self-hosted anonymous analytics: processed under our legitimate interest in understanding site usage, limited to non-identifying, aggregated statistics as described in Section 7.

4. Data Retention

Your Unique ID is retained for as long as your license remains active, plus a limited period afterward to handle support requests or disputes. You may request deletion at any time as described in Section 9; note that this permanently deactivates the associated license.

5. Payment Processing

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Polar (Polar Software, Inc.). Polar is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. We do NOT collect, process, or store your credit card, billing address, or banking details. All financial transactions are handled securely by Polar in accordance with their strict global privacy standards.

6. Data Storage & Security

Your Unique ID is stored securely on our backend servers solely for license verification purposes. We do not sell, rent, or trade your data to any third parties.

7. Cookies & Analytics

We operate two sites — dvc.tasshack.com (this one) and dv.tasshack.com — both maintained by the same developer and using the same analytics setup. Our own cookies below are set on .tasshack.com, so they are shared by both sites: a cookie choice you make on one applies to the other, and you are not asked for consent twice.

Set without consent, because they are required for the service or only remember a choice you made yourself:

• dv_c — records the choice you made in the cookie notice, so you are not asked again.
• dv_t — remembers whether you chose light or dark appearance. Only written when you use the appearance toggle.
• dv_l — remembers your language preference. Set from your browser's own language setting on your first visit, and updated whenever you switch languages.

Set only after you accept the cookie notice (via Analytics or Marketing categories):

• Checkout cookies — set by our reseller Polar (Marketing category) while processing your purchase via the checkout embed.
• Google Analytics cookies — used to understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it (Analytics category). If you reject them, these are not set.
• dv_u — a random, non-identifying ID used by our self-hosted analytics to count returning visitors more accurately.

We also use a self-hosted, privacy-friendly analytics tool. By default it uses no cookies and stores no personal data — it records only anonymous, aggregated visit statistics (such as page views, country, and browser) using a non-persistent identifier that is re-generated daily and cannot be used to identify you. That part runs regardless of your cookie choice; the dv_u cookie described above is the only piece of it that requires your consent.

We do not use cookies for advertising, and we do not track you across websites we do not operate. Because our cookies are set on .tasshack.com, they are readable by both of our own sites; they are never shared with third-party advertising networks.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Delete your data (this deactivates the associated license).
• Restrict or object to our processing of your data.
• Withdraw consent at any time for anything processed on the basis of consent (e.g. analytics cookies, by using the Cookie Preferences button), without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority if you believe your data has been mishandled.
